This is the ATC - Part 2
Joe Bloggs goes down to his local ATC Squadron (a D1) at the minimum age of 13
years and three months. He may be there for a whole host of reasons, ranging from a desire
to fly, a desire to lead or simply because he is curious about what goes on. He may have
become disenchanted with another organization and may be seeking more of a challenge in
life. He is a more motivated individual than the average teenager, otherwise, why else
would he be there? He attends his first Squadron parade night and meets the key the
members of the Unit including the CO (Commanding Officer), SWO (Squadron Warrant Officer)

Summer School at Hawk Mountain - Pt 1
Hawk Mountain Ranger Staff training is a tradition that has been around for
many years. Of course, as everything does, there have been changes; some for the worse and

Short Cuts = Long Delays
I
spent last weekend on the tanks. For those who aren't familiar with my other hobby, I'm
(as of this writing) a corporal in the Pennsylvania National Guard with Alpha Company, 2nd
Battalion, 103rd Armor Regiment. It's an M1-A1 Abrams tank company and for those of you
who've never pounded around the countryside in 70 tons of Uncle Sam's steel, I highly
